PRIVATE PIANO LESSONS
Ellen Gill has been teaching piano for 14 years in her charming neighborhood of Mar Vista, Los Angeles. Most of her lessons are taught in person, but Zoom lessons are also available. Lessons are 30 minutes long, mostly during after-school hours, and cost $45.00. She specializes in teaching children at the beginning to intermediate level. As a retired school teacher, she understands how to mold a lesson to fit the unique learning styles and strengths of each student. Always expanding her teaching skills, she has recently added games, improvisation, and rote learning into her lessons. Her students perform in 2 recitals a year.

Ellen is a wonderful person and piano teacher. My twin girls started taking piano lessons when they were 7 years old. They are now 16. Ellen has always been very professional yet easy going with her approach. She offers children the structure and instruction necessary to develop a sense of accomplishment. She also recognizes and supports the child's desired style of music they would like to learn and play. My daughter Olivia loves Ragtime music, so Ellen has always offered Olivia different Ragtime pieces as she has graduated through each level, thus keeping her interest alive.
