Let's Put on a Show
(Jan 2-5)

September 21st (Thursday)
$80.00 for 1 day

Celebrate the first day of autumn, by building a scarecrow out of old clothes, bamboo poles, and fabric.  We will use paint and other craft supplies to add details to the face, body and hands of our scarecrows. Blue House Arts will provide the fabric for the head, yarn for hair, gloves for hands, socks for feet, poles, and newspaper or hay for stuffing.  Campers should bring an adult or kid sized long sleeve shirt and pants to stuff.  Some other accessories to bring include hats, neckties, belts, scarves, aprons, glasses, etc. You can make a soft scarecrow that can sit or climb a tree.  Or you can make one that has a pole to stick into the ground.  What kind of scarecrow do you want to make?

They will be given a basic recipe to work with and a variety of ingredients to choose from.  In past cooking camps, we have made quiches, salads, cupcakes, and smoothies.  This camp’s recipes are still in the works!  Of course, there will be a secret ingredient that they must use!  It all ends with some fun judging from neighborhood volunteers and a delicious feast, as we taste our creations.  Everyone wins!
